Traditional TKD Federation Championships 2014

The Traditional Tae Kwon-Do Federation (TTF) played host it’s 1st British Championships in November. Clubs from all over the country travelled to Tewkesbury to compete in this friendly invitational only event design to give TTF students an insight to the competition side Tae Kwon-Do.

Students were given the chance to show off their patterns and sparring skills, competing against each other in a safe and controlled environment while over coming fears and nerves to in order to build confidence and encourage to enter further events in the future.

As part of the British Tae Kwon-Do Council (BTC) the Tradition Tae Kwon-Do Federation used this opportunity to promote the BTC’s ‘Touch Gloves – Getting Girls into TKD’ Scheme, handing out t-shirts to it’s female competitors. More information on this scheme can be found on the BTC’s main website.

Lastly a big thank you to not just the WMST, NITA and STA students for taking part but also to all the Senior Grades and Instructors who made the event possible by giving up their time to help referee for the day, as well help coach juniors and then compete themselves. Well done to everyone envolved – see you again next year!
