Four Directional Thrust (Sajo Tulgi)

Ready Stance: Closed Ready Stance C (Moa Chunbi Sogi C)

Four Directional is the first exercise given to all Tae Kwon-Do students to help develop co-ordination, direction change and breathing control. It is NOT a pattern and is not taught by all ITF Tae Kwon-Do clubs.

1 Move the right foot to D forming a right “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
2 Move the right foot to B forming a right “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
3 Move the right foot to C forming a right “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
4 Move the right foot to A forming a right “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
5 Move right foot back towards D (front) to form parallel ready stance.
6 Move the left foot to D forming a left “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
7 Move the left foot to A forming a left “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
8 Move the left foot to C forming a left “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
9 Move the left foot to B forming a left “L” stance towards D while executing a middle section front elbow.
END Bring the left foot back to a ready posture.
