Corse & Staunton Schools of Tae Kwon-Do
Master Amrit Kalcutt has been involved with Tae Kwon-Do for over 36 years and is a dedicated Martial Artist. Beginning his training during his mid teens Master Kalcutt has developed and honed his interest and skills to reach the rank of AIMAA Master (7th Dan).
Formally a student of the TAGB during the early 80’s Master Kalcutt was awarded his Black Belt by then Chief Instructor GrandMaster Hee Il Cho, 9th Dan. Master Kalcutt soon left the TAGB to become a founding member of the West Midlands Schools of Tae Kwon-Do (WMST) and joined the newly formed Action International Martial Arts Association (AIMAA), fronted by GrandMaster Hee Il Cho. Master Amrit Kalcutt has been a loyal associate member of AIMAA for many years, and his own association is one of England’s longest established and most successful independent Tae Kwon-Do groups.
Training alongside some of Tae Kwon-Do’s greatest authorities within the sport, including GrandMaster General Choi Hong Hi, the Founding Father of Tae Kwon-Do, AIMAA President & Founder GrandMaster Hee Il Cho, 3 Times TKD World Champion Tony Sewell and 2 Times TKD World Champion & MMA Fighter Mark Weir as well as many other well respected Martial Artists have enabled Master Kalcutt to share his enthusiasm and dedication with others. By aiming high personally he expects and receives the same commitment from his students.
Master Kalcutt personally teaches students at both his schools located at Newent and Staunton. He is a sincere and dedicated Instructor who believes in the values instilled by Martial Arts. Approaching teaching in a traditional and respectful manner, he believes in a friendly yet disciplined training method, teaching students of all ages. Over time, a large number of his students have had great success at National and International levels, while some have go on to become Instructors in their own right.
As with all things, learning is a natural progression and Master Kalcutt intends to continue to learn, enabling him to pass on his knowledge and experience to the highest possible standard. His personal achievements include International Certified Instructor and Referee, Silver Medalist AIMAA World Championships 2000, Bronze Medalist AIMAA World Championships 2004 to name but a few.
Master Kalcutt is backed by a dedicated team of Black Belt Instructors who under his guidance provide WMST and its students with a vast array of technical expertise and knowledge. WMST is continually promoting the progression of AIMAA & Tae Kwon Do, and is committed to ensure that all of it’s members receive the best possible tuition and service.
